take this past saturday, for example. the poor girl was beginning to look like a ragamuffin!
her hair was constantly in her eyes and the ends were all uneven.
now, c'mon what girl would not be bothered by that?! well, okay, so it probably didn't even phase her, but it did bother me and i had to remedy the situation!
so, i brought her with me to get her first hair cut. the whole time i was thinking, "she is going to absolutely hate this!" elizabeth assured me that she would do just fine, as did kara. however, my mother instinct knew better. i just kept thinking about this and picturing this.
well, i'll let you decide who was right....
does she look mad to you? hmmm, i'm not sure, let's take a closer look:
let's distract her with a lollipop and see how she does:
"lollipop or not, i'm still not liking this at all!!"
such a sad face! at least we can see her angry eyes!
i guess a mother always knows!

Okay, I admit it. I was WRONG. My word...you can see those molars in that one picture! Thank you for not getting my "before" hair in the picture! :-)
And she looks adorable!
That is so funny. Yes, mothers always know those things. Kawena is starting to look a lot like Lala to me.
she is awfully cute, even when she's mad. and the finished product is much better. i wish that bronwen had ANY hair in front, let alone some that needed to be cut. oh well.
too cute! I love how in the first lollipop picture shes almost thinking about being ok with the whole situation... shes so cute!
I decided you were definitely right!!
ragamuffin or not she sure is cute! I love the pucker lips!!
Love the pictures! I guess it wasn't like it was with Nani. It took awhile before she had enough hair to cut.
i feel your pain! Cole did the same thing when we took him to LaFawn Smith to cut his hair. maybe her reaction will be a one time thing.
Wow, she looks so mad! Poor girl, you wonder what she's thinking to get herself so upset? Maybe next time it won't be so painful.
Wow! Who knew a hair cut could be so painful!
I love these pictures. You've got to love a mother's instincts.
