i was the designated photographer. it was a bit tricky because of the lack of light and the sugared up children that couldn't stay still long enough for the slower shutter speed. i played around with the settings, applying the info i learned in the class, and was pleasantly surprised with what i captured!
this is nani's witch pumpkin. she picked out the design and mitch did an awesome job creating it! she absolutely loves it!!
these next two are my very favorites!!
this is lala's pumpkin. it isn't quite finished, yet. i love the play of the light on the girl's faces!
hopefully, tomorrow we will finish the remaining three pumpkins!

Wow, that witch looks quite intricate! Good work Mitch. And it looks like your photography class is definitely paying off already. Great shots!
Oh my GOSH! These pictures are so great! I keep telling Mike that I'd love to take a photography class. Then I can have pretty pictures like Mahina...maybe someday. Seriously, great pictures!!
Oh, and I never knew you donated 19 inches to Lock of Love! That is a lot of hair. I'm hoping to get mine chopped this week, it just depends on if I can get in to my hair girl or not.
WOW! those are way cool! Love you!
Wow is right! Tell Mitch, He's awesome! And the Photog is awesome too. Keep practicing what you learned in the class so you don't forget. Happy Halloween! I hope to see some good shots of that too.
Mahina, that middle shot of both girls is a serious breathtaker! I love it. I got to hear all about the pumpkin carving in primary today. Nani obviously enjoyed it.
Beautiful shots! Lester was having trouble with the lighting during our pumpkin carving. I think you all did great!
Wow! Great pictures and impressive carving!
i love the photos. they inspire me to add a photography class to my "must do" list! and those pumpkins are marvelous. jared is the designated carver at our house as well! come to think of it, i'd better start scooping out the guts this afternoon so that we are ready to carve after dinner tonight!
Great job Mahina. They are beautiful.
