saying goodbye is so hard to do!

two months ago, lala informed me that she wanted to cut her hair short. being the smart mom that i am, i told her, "okay we'll do it next time i go get my hair cut.", knowing full well that she would change her mind. well, it is today and i am going to get my hair cut and guess who is coming with me? she still wants it short!

so, we must say goodbye to her hair. i know that it is just hair and it will grow back, but she has such pretty hair!

no more crinkly hair...

no more cute braids...

however, there are some things that i won't miss...

the screaming when i brush through her tangles... the running away when i want to fix her hair...  the food that always seems to find it's way into her hair. even still, i will miss the beautiful hair cascading down her back!

watch for after shots, coming soon!

I can't wait to see the after pics. Lala is such a pretty girl. It will be so darn cute either way.

It'll grow back so fast. I remember Nani was bald for so long, and now she has such a gorgeous head of hair. Post after pics of Lala.

Oh, don't be sad! It will look great. I love having a girl with short hair. Think....no more syrup in her hair! I made the mistake of feeding your kids pancakes every time they are here for the weekend and I swear there was more syrup in Lala's hair than on her plate!

I have a short hair girl and she is the one that wants it that way. It does end up being a blessing in a lot of ways. Who is cutting it? If you are going to Kara then you won't be disappointed. She just cut Heidi's hair and it was one of the best haircuts she has ever had.

good for you, you should let her if she wants to. My guess is that she will be just as cute with it short. It is lovely long hair though.

Long hair is cute, but short hair is HEAVEN until they can take care of it themselves...

No worries...with all those girls you are NOT done with long hair.

Are you donating it?

I got a sneak peek at her short hair and it is really cute! She is so cute long or short heck she'd be cute bald. Love the hair Lala ;)

I have always kept Charley's hair fairly short and it is pretty quick and easy to do. I am now in the process of growing it out though. It's rather painful, but I'm sure Lala's hair will be adorable!

We have the opposite issue here - Sarah's hair won't grow at all and she LOVES long hair. We have barely trimmed her hair in all of her 6 years, and it is barely to her shoulders...
On a different note - what kind of camera do you have? Your pictures are always so amazing - I love all of the detail in them! Take care and have a great day!

I had a hard time the first time we cut the long hair but now I LOVE short haircuts!

She will look beautiful! And trust me it grows back!

Oh and I can't wait to see your mu'u mu'u post!

Wow! I didn't realize just how long Lala's hair was. She's an adorable girl and while I understand long locks being missed, short hair is fun too.
