what's the cure??.....

how does a girl who is suffering from periodic insomnia, sluggish tiredness, jiggle body, and just plain old laziness make her life less sluggish, less jiggly, less lazy, and more restful???

she gets back to the gym!

since my little fertility mishap back in may, june, and july, i have not been able to exercise. i was told to avoid any bouncing or jarring activities to prevent ovarian rupture. so, being the good little patient that i am, and terrified of ovarian rupture (it just sounds painful), i stopped exercising. of course, i fully understand that the doctor did not tell me to STOP exercising all together, but i didn't want to take any chances (i need my ovaries to be functional, or as functional as mine can be!).

well, it has been over a month since i have been cleared to get back into the exercise groove and i have done very little! why is it so easy to get out of the habit and so hard to get back into the habit!

i will be lazy no more! i am heading back to the gym this week! next week nani will be in school and so i will be able to get back onto a more consistent schedule. so, wish me luck and give me the much needed encouragement as i cure myself of my self destructive tendencies and get up off of my ever increasing largeness of an okole (for those of you not fortunate to be educated in the hawaiian language, that's hawaiian for "butt", a bad word growing up.). plus, i need to use my 40+, paid for, kids club passes before we leave in less than 4 weeks! can't let those go to waste!

so, here i go...flab and jiggle be gone!

Go Mahina GO! You are an amazing, rock-solid, die hard exerciser. I'm sure after your first day back you'll be back on the wagon. Don't be discouraged by anything. Just keep on keepin' on and use up those kids club passes! Good luck.

It is frustrating when your exercise routine gets interupted, and then so hard to get back into it. I am walking 1 mile a day at 2mph on my treadmill and feeling proud of myself. Ahhh! 3 more weeks!

Good luck getting back into shape.

Good luck getting back into things. It's true, getting out of shape is so easy and getting back in stinks. I basically took 6 weeks off while I was traveling this summer and although I don't have a hard time going to the gym, I am so out of shape. I could hardly walk that first week back. You love to exercise, it wont be too hard for you. Do you really leave in 4 weeks? Did your house sell yet?

If you are still the same person I knew back in Texas I know you can do it!

Hey if you ever want a workout buddy I'm here! I could use the encouragement as well. Besides I need all the Mahina time I can get before the much dreaded move date ;)

You'll be back feeling the way you want in no time. I also can't wait for the routine of school to start so I can get back to my good ol' routine.

Ummmm.....I don't think I've EVER seen you with flab or jiggle. Save those adjectives for girls like me who really need them! LOL

I have no excuse for not working out this summer. Other than I was just busy. I also can't wait for school to start because day one I am going to be back at the gym!

Hmmm... can you use those passes for the kids to drop them off and head for some ice cream shop?

Because that is what I would do.

I hadn't read about the 'fertility mishap' before, but I'm glad I did. I have such a hard time getting pregnant and with John's recent chemo, it might be completely impossible again. But I believe, deep down, that some how, some way, it will happen.

Good luck with the gym! I LOVE going to the gym. There's just something about working out without the interruption of kids.

you go girl. the exercise habit is so hard. it's so hard to actually want to do it. the one thing the gym can be is a great release, and the perfect break for little kiddos.

This just goes to show how hard we are on ourselves. I would say most women would kill to have your body. I do know the no gym blues though and am suffering the same symptoms, except my bum flattens out and goes to my tummy. I ran 4 miles today. I am on my way to the cure. Good luck at using all of those kid club tickets!! Call me if you want a work out pal!
