memories...

          Copy of mahina

i was just visiting holly's blog and she is doing a post on memories of her. now, i've never actually met holly, but i do remember the first time that i read a post on her blog, and that was my memory of her!

anyway, this is how the game works...

as a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and i had together. it doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. it's actually pretty funny to see the responses. if you leave a memory about me, i'll assume you're playing the game and i'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

so, come along with me and take a walk down memory lane... let's see where it takes us!

I remember seeing you at the RS broadcast and Caitlin Carter telling me you were like 8 months pregnant and just drooling over how good you looked.
There was some serious preggo body envy going on.

I have so many memories but my all time favorite was when you, Merilee and I went hiking to that waterfall with Kawena and Lala. That was so fun and we had such a great time talking all the way there and all the way back.

I have two favorite memories.

One is when your car got towed because I told you it was alright to park straight into the parking space, I guess it wasn't ok. But coincidentally, I won enough money on the trip home from the lake to pay to get your car out of the impound lot, I felt guilty.

Second, was when you, Gavan, Emily and myself took pictures outside your house when we were teenagers. I still have the pictures if you want to see them.

I don't have a blog you can comment on but I enjoy reading yours.

I miss visiting teaching you. It seems soooo long ago when Hilary and I were you visiting teachers.

Ah, thanks for the link!
I remember seeing your comment on my blog and jumping over to see what you were like. You seem like a really genuine person who loves your kids. And I always tell you this, but I LOVE your photos!

You and I were still in school in Provo and we were work-out buddies. We were on our way back from the gym and I wasn't paying attention. I was was chatting away with you and all of a sudden I see those flashing lights in my rear-view mirror. I had taken our usual route and was going the speed limit but I guess I got so into our conversation that I failed to see that the "school zone" sign was flashing. Oops. So there I sat feeling like and idiot and we had a good laugh about it.
Stupid thing is, I dropped you off on another work-out day and I forgot that I had left my school books on top of my car. They all fell off and I panicked because they were EXPENSIVE books. I drove quickly back to your house and neither you or Mitch were home. Luckily, your sweet little neighbor had picked them up. Whew!
There are just a couple of fun memories involving you . . .
Oh! And a shout out to your car getting stuck in the snow in Yellowstone. It was fun watching Mitch and the guys dig it out!

I remember when I first moved into the ward, you were pregnant and you had an skirt on that matched your two girls. SOOOO cute! I was also pregnant, and wanted to look exactly like you right before I had my baby. I didn't, but I guess that's okay.

In addition to MANY fun scrapbooking days...After I had moved from Oregon, I was living in temporary housing in Boise. That's when I found out I carried the cancer gene. It was a lonely time since I'd left all my friends in Oregon. You sent me an email that lifted my spirits. Thank you!

Since I'm really sore and tired, I guess it will have to be doing Winsor Pilates with you today! I never knew there were so many ways to bend the human body. And you looked so graceful through it all compared to my thumping, bumping, and groaning! :-) I definitely need to keep that up! And the smoothies were DIVINE!

Also, I love our Fourth of July events! I will miss those when you move. You really don't have to move, do you?

The memory that comes first is that bike ride we went on when you revealed that you knew "that secret" about me. It was fun chatting as we were about to go biking. I knew then if I could confide THAT in you, I could confide anything. :)

I'll miss those bike rides with you when you move!

I think my first "memory" of you was admiring your beautiful little family when we were visiting Rich and Paula, maybe 6 years ago, and we went to church with them. You and Mitch and Nani were in church, and I just was in awe of how pretty you all were (are). And then you came up and introduced yourself, and I just was tickled pink that you would do that. You are a very special person!

My very first memory of you was seeing you dressed as Pippy Long Stocking at the ward Halloween party. You looked so hip even with braids sticking out the sides of your head. I also loved the hike. I'm definitely doing that again this summer.

My first memory of you is a cyber memory, only because I haven't yet had the privilege of meeting you in person. Your comment on my lemons and lemonade post made me feel like I wasn't alone and I was so grateful for your kind words I had to find out who you were.

Your post about Ross and his family of course was what made the real connection for me because I knew them too. Not as close as you but still it made me realize once again how small the world is and how the gospel brings us all together.

I just know that if we lived closer we would definitely be good friends. For now I will settle for our cyber friendship!

I remember you were sweet enough to comment on my blog and I was tickled...and, I remember wondering if you were in Bridget's ward.

I love that beautiful picture of you!

Although this is not my favorite memory of you but it is my first memory of you. It was when I worked at the Beaverton kids club. It was when I found out you were like 4 months pregnant just behind me and you looked AMAZING!! I was so stunned that you were able to work out as hard as you did. I was lazy and hardly ever worked out. Guess that's why you looked fabulous!!

I Like the memory of you coming to visit in california and it being a surprise to everyone else so I had to make up some excuse to go pick you up from the airport without letting anyone know... I said the Library which wasnt very convincing and mom got all suspicious especially after andie called and asked where I was and didnt believe the whole Library bit. I wonder what kind of shananigans they thought I was up to. Haha!

I love our twinner pictures that we take. And I love that we are both getting into photography seriously! Very exciting! Love you! I'll try and do a Memory blog and then you can comment on mine!
