the littlest cinderella

once upon a time there was a little girl, well... more like a little toddler. she was the cutest thing ever (i can say that! i'm her mom!) who found joy in helping her mom. starting from the very young age of 13 months, after getting her diaper changed she will put away the wipes, "fold" the changing mat and put it back in the basket. but her favorite thing is to take care of the diaper by throwing it down the stairs. when cleaning up the kitchen she will put potholders back in their drawer. when her sisters are cleaning up their toys she is always willing to help. and just last week she started helping mommie with the laundry:

my sweet, sweet cinderella! if only they could always be this willing to help!

What a cutie! That is so funny she likes to clean up even after a diaper change! Cole is into the laundry helping which is nice since a lot of it is his urine soaked underwear and pants from accidents!

So cute. Alexis likes to help scrub toilets and tubs now. I wonder how long that will last. :-)

i love it--this is Jake's favorite job to help me with around the house. and vaccuuming. but i think it has to do more with using a "machine" than doing the chore itself.

so cute! Yes, it would be nice if they were always that willing to help. Jaike loves to throw his diaper away. He always comes running back to me for a high five.

Little helpers are wonderful. Sometimes they out grow the desire---that's when they start calling them chores, kinda like all the ones I have waiting for me.

She is a doll!

Kawena, I just want to squeeze her! I'm just counting the days.

there's nothing wrong with child labor! if you keep her in chores now while she likes it, she'll just expect it later!
what a doll she is.

I hated when they grew out of the I want to help stage. I think it is so great she is helping you. Now my kids clean whole rooms, do their own laundry, and make breadsticks for dinner, not always willingly, but they surprise me. You are teaching more than you know.
