he can see clearly now….

mitch got lasik last friday! woohoo!

no more glasses

no more contacts

no more blurry clock in the middle of the night

no more fogging glasses while doing yard work

no more contact solution

no more feeling for his glasses in the middle of the night when one of the girls needs him

no more contact cases

no more glasses jammed into his face when wrestling with the girls

just 20/15 vision

and lovin’ every minute of it!!

**i watched the whole procedure…pretty creepy and gross, but apparently (according to mitch) it was worse for him to watch than to actually have it done! all i could think about the whole time was the movie minority report and the creepy doctor who swapped out tom cruises’ eyes!

What is he going to do with all the free time he has now that he won't be hunting for glasses, inserting contacts, etc. And what is he going to do with all the money he saves with no solutions, prescriptions, etc? Sounds like you need to come up with a honey do list and go shopping!

Congrats!

good for him. i bet he enjoys not having to even think about glasses anymore. a friend of ours had that done about a year ago and loves it too.

Hooray! We got our eyes done in 2002. Jesse watched my surgery and then he got his done. It wouldn't have worked the other way around.

YAY for Mitch! I want this for Aric so bad, but he is still creeped out about it. I watched it done on TV, I don't know if I could do it, I can't even put eye drops in my eyes! Thankfully I have good ol 20/20.

Hooray for Mitch! I've heard great things about Lasik. I love that it reminds you of Minority Report. I totally remember that movie now that you mention it.

That is awesome! Everyone I know who has done it just raves about the results.

Congrats, Mitch. I'm still enjoying mine. Are your dreams more clear too?

WOW--that is really brave. I am completely terrified of someone touching my eyes. I would never beable to do that surgery. Just thinking about it gives me the creeps.

I would love to get Lasik someday. Meanwhile, we're trying to sell our house. :) We're moving to Austin. CJ left today because his new job starts tomorrow and I'm taking the kids on Thursday. We'll stay for a long weekend and house hunt. Hopefully we'll find something before the kids have to start school! How are your house plans coming along? I think I would love to build our own home someday.
